Planning Applications

The Planning Application process is intended to control development in terms of size, scale, massing and use. Planning regulations are in place to protect home owners, neighbours and the local community from unwanted development. DB Building Design can offer you impartial advice in terms of your proposed development. 

DB Building Design will prepare all the necessary floor plans, sections, elevations and landscaping plans for your scheme. We will also make the applciation on your behalf via the Planning Portal.

Householder Submissions are the most simplistic form of application and rarely require any supporting documentation. However, if your home is a listed building, lies within a conservation area or has protected trees within the curtilidge supporting reports may be required to support the proposed development. Planning permission is often approved subject to condition i.e. sample materials may need be provided prior to commencement. Failure to discharge conditions can delay your approval. Any alterations to the scheme made during the construction phase may conflict with the plans approved and be therefore potentially unlawful.
